Target + Vital Voices

Target partnered with Vital Voices for a limited-time clothing collection inspired by the six incredible women, below. I got looped in when we found out they’d be in town the following week: Would I want to help put together videos sharing their story? I couldn’t say YES fast enough.

Conducting video interviews might just be one of my favorite things. There’s a writer’s high you get from the challenge of crafting questions that make for a meaty, authentic discussion and draw out sound bites for a 15-second video.

This project was also personally meaningful: I happened to be pregnant with my daughter at the time. Even though she was in utero, I felt proud taking her to work and showing her examples of such remarkable women who used the power of their voices to empower others.
